What it does
One pass: cut, collected, done.
The GT5 is the rotary workhorse of PUDU's outdoor range: a 152 cm (60 in) cutting width moving roughly two acres an hour, and, the part that changes a grounds schedule, it collects as it cuts. Grass clippings, leaves and light turf debris come off the surface in the same pass as the mow. On a council reserve or a school oval, collection is normally the second machine and the second labour hour; on the GT5 it is the same pass.
Capacity is grounds-contract scale: approximately 8,090 m² (2 acres) per hour, up to 10 hours of runtime and coverage of up to 65,000 m² (16 acres) on a single charge. That is a full working day of cut-and-collect from one machine, enough to hold a weekly program across a portfolio of reserves, ovals and campus lawns without the schedule slipping to the roster.
The platform underneath is AI-native: LiDAR, camera vision and depth sensing feed autonomous mapping and obstacle avoidance, so it operates on grounds shared with people and vehicles, with a manual drive mode for repositioning and a physical emergency-stop on the unit. The build is commercial: an all-metal body on a commercial-grade steel chassis, IP66-rated against dust and water. When the hopper fills, Auto Dumping takes over: the GT5 empties the load autonomously and resumes the task where it stopped.
Two honest notes. This is a launch product, shown to the world in September 2026 at GaLaBau in Nuremberg, so the figures not in the datasheet below (hopper capacity, cutting heights, battery capacity and charge time) are confirmed at the site survey rather than guessed at here. And a cut-and-collect rotary is not the answer for every surface: for reel-finish turf or tight, path-heavy grounds, the GT7 and GT3 exist for a reason.
