What it does

One machine that holds a whole precinct at a daily cut.

The Titan is the large-area unit in the FJ Dynamics landscaping range: three cutting discs across a 730 mm deck, each carrying six pivoting blades, cutting anywhere from 10 to 100 mm at up to 3.6 km/h. Point it at a contiguous stretch of turf, an oval, a precinct lawn, a fairway network or a village green, and it mows the whole thing on a schedule, the same lines every time, without an operator.

The numbers are the argument. One charge covers 18,000 m², roughly a full AFL oval, across an eight-hour runtime; that works out to about 2,250 m²/h. With the auto-return charging station it recharges in 120 minutes and goes again, which is how FJD rates it at 36,000 m² per 24 hours and 108,000 m² per 72 hours. A contractor cuts a site like that once a week. The Titan holds it at a daily standard.

Guidance is the fullest sensor stack of FJD's disc mowers: dual-RTK GNSS for positioning, LiDAR and vision for obstacles, and virtual boundaries drawn in software, so there is no perimeter wire to bury or break. An FJD RTK base station ships with the unit. Zones, no-go areas, schedules and cut records live in the GreenMaster fleet platform, the same managed-dashboard model we run across our cleaning fleet.

It is built for outdoor duty: 122 kg, IP64 sealing against dust and splash, an operating range of 0–55°C, and GPS tracking with an anti-theft module on board. The 10–100 mm height range means the same machine holds presentation lawn at 25 mm and rough at 80 mm without a hardware change.

Survey

Our engineer surveys the site: slopes measured, tree cover and RTK signal mapped, base station sited, zones and schedules agreed. One day on site for most grounds.

Step 02

Mow

The Titan follows its planned lines with the deck set between 10 and 100 mm, steering around people and obstacles with LiDAR and vision.

Step 03

Charge

At low battery it returns to the station, recharges in 120 minutes and resumes where it stopped. No one plugs anything in.

Step 04

Report

GreenMaster logs coverage, timing and faults. You see the cut records; we watch the health of the machine.

Built for the conditions, not the brochure.

Heat is the spec that separates the Titan from everything else in the range. FJ Dynamics rates it for operation from 0 to 55°C; every other mower in the FJD landscaping line stops at 45°C. For Pilbara and Goldfields mining villages, where grounds work is otherwise a FIFO labour line, that rating is the difference between a robot that mows through February and one that waits for autumn.

The honest counterpoint is slope. The Titan's 20° working limit covers the vast majority of ovals, precinct lawns and fairways, but steep batters and drainage banks are FRX territory (rated 25°). We measure both during the site survey and will specify a mixed fleet where it makes sense: Titan for the flats, FRX for the banks, one GreenMaster dashboard over both.

RTK guidance wants open sky. Big open turf is the ideal case, and it is exactly what the Titan is for; where tree canopy or buildings shadow the signal, the on-board LiDAR and vision help, but we map coverage properly at the survey rather than promising blanket performance. If part of a site is a poor fit, we say so before anything is quoted.

As far as we can find, no Australian dealer currently stocks the Titan, so a WA deployment would be among the first in the country. We supply and service FJ Dynamics robots across WA from Perth (Fiction Labs Pty Ltd, trading as Perth Robots): local engineers, local mapping, spares on the ground, same-day metro response. FJD backs the hardware with a 24-month main-unit warranty and lifetime free software updates.

How much ground can one Titan cover?

What slope can the Titan work on?
FJ Dynamics rates the Titan to a 20° working slope, which covers most park, oval and fairway terrain. Steep batters and drainage banks are better suited to the FRX, rated to 25°. We measure slopes during the site survey and specify a mixed fleet where a site needs one.
Can it handle WA summer heat?
Yes. The Titan is rated for operation from 0 to 55°C, the only mower in the FJD landscaping range rated past 45°C. That makes it the unit we specify for Pilbara and Goldfields mining villages, and for full-sun Perth sites in February.
Does it need a boundary wire?
No. Boundaries are virtual, drawn in software against a dual-RTK GNSS position, with LiDAR and vision handling obstacles. An FJD RTK base station is included with the unit. RTK does want open sky, so we map tree cover and signal shadow during the site survey before we quote.
What happens in rain?
The Titan is rated IP64: sealed against dust, with splash resistance from any direction. Perth winter rain and irrigation overspray are fine, and we schedule mowing around irrigation windows as part of the deployment plan. It is not a machine for standing water.
Is the FJD Titan available in Australia?
As far as we can find, no Australian dealer currently stocks the Titan; we bring it into WA to order and service it locally. FJD reports more than 200,000 units sold across 140+ countries, and backs the hardware with a 24-month main-unit warranty. Lead times are confirmed with your quote.
How is the Titan priced?
Quoted per site assessment, with three commercial models: Robotics-as-a-Service on a fixed monthly fee covering hardware, service and software; outright purchase with an optional Care Plan; or a 2–4 year lease-to-own. If the numbers don't stack up for your site, we'll tell you.
Who services it in WA?
Perth-based engineers handle survey, deployment, training and repairs. Perth metro gets same-day on-site response, regional WA next business day, and remote diagnostics resolve most software issues within an hour. Warranty cover is 24 months on the main unit and 12 months on the battery, charging station and RTK.
